The event, which took place at the restaurant Novecento, last Wednesday, March 23rd, gathered important tennis players, such as Juan Mónaco, Gabriela Sabatini, Gisela Dulko, Nicolás Lapenti, Guillermo Cañas and Juan Ignacio Chela, among others, who, along with
entrepreneurs and the Latin-American community in Miami supported the work of Un Techo para mi País.
Thanks to the effort of the participants, the organization was able to raise funds for an emergency house for 25 families living in extreme poverty in the continent.
“We are working together with families that have never asked for gifts, only opportunities. As young people that have had access to these opportunities we have the responsibility to work with them and give them the minimum: a roof,” said Rafael Achondo, 26, Director of
Development UTPMP.

It was a warm and sunny day and first stop of the day was to help the play with the kids at the Junior Tennis Clinic with residant coach Kim O’Kelley at Atlantis.

El repechaje entre Argentina y Japón fue postergado para el 16 y 17 de julio. Podrá estar Dulko.
El equipo argentino de Copa Fed debía jugar ante Japón, el 16 y 17 de abril en Tokio, el repechaje para ascender al Grupo Mundial II. Sin embargo, por el tsunami que sufrió el país anfitrión, el cruce fue postergado para el 16 y 17 de julio. Según trascendió, la sede sería Osaka.
Además, con la nueva fecha de la eliminatoria, Argentina podrá contar con Gisela Dulko, su principal figura, que en principio había sido descartada por la capitana Bettina Fulko, ya que en la fecha de abril la tigrense tiene programada una exhibición en Bahamas ante la rusa Maria Sharapova. Muy buena noticia.
