Maria Sharapova vs Gisela Dulko Tennis exhibition Canceled

The exhibition tennis match between Gisela Dulko and Maria Sharapova was canceled.

Dulko and Sharapova were supposted to playon Friday 4 December at the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis but for “commercial reasons” the exhibition was canceled according to the group NOS and IMG Argentina, who were the organizers of the event.

The match was one of a series of three, as the Russian would also participate in exhibitions in Chile (also with Dulko) and Brazil.

It is a pity that we will miss the chance to see these two great tennis players.
Too bad they are still not given importance to women’s tennis in Argentina since this was a wonderful way to promote it.

Gisela Dulko will start the 2010 season playing at the Hong Kong Tennis Classic 2010 along great tennis players.

The Hong Kong Tennis Classic 2010 that will be played in January, field will be full of WTA Tour top stars plus great men tennis players like Safin, Edberg and Michael Chang that will represent different parts of the world.

The exhibition event will feature stars like Caroline Wozniack, Victoria Azarenka, Venus Williams and Vera Zvonareva. Plus Maria Sharapova, Gisela Dulko and Jie Zheng.

The Team Russia will be represented by Sharapova, Zvonareva and Safin.

The Team America will be represented by Williams, Dulko and Chang.

The Team Asia-Pacific will be represented by Zheng, Morita and Srichaphan.

Maria Sharapova and Gisela Dulko to play Tennis exhibition in Chile and Argentina

Two of the most beautiful tennis players, Maria Sharapova and Gisela Dulko will meet in Chile and in Argentina to play some exhibition matches in December 2009.

Maria Sharapova, former WTA number one and now ranked 49, will come to South America for the first time in December to play an exhibition with Gisela Dulko in the central stadium of Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis in Argentina and in Chile.

The meeting in Argentina will take place on 6 December and will mark the end of a tour that Sharapova will held for the first time in South America.
Sharapova will first go to Chile, where she will also play against Dulko, then she will stop in Brazil and finally in Argentina.
